Join the Foundation team as an Infrastructure Engineer to maintain platform stability and boost developer productivity in a high-stakes environment processing millions in mortgage transactions. Essential Functions

  • Design, monitor, and improve highly available infrastructure for mission-critical mortgage transaction processing.
  • Build tooling to accelerate developer workflows, eliminating slow builds, flaky tests, and painful deploys.
  • Maintain codebase quality, teach best practices, and mentor junior engineers to set engineering standards.
  • Respond to incidents and implement preventive systems and practices to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams for direct, real-time feedback on infrastructure improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of experience as a software engineer with contributions to core infrastructure.
  • Experience with microservices, GraphQL APIs, or cross-team platform development.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and at least one other backend programming technology.
  • Hands-on experience with backend AWS services.
  • Postgres or database infrastructure experience.
  • Background in caching, cloud services, scaling systems, integrations, or event-driven systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in AWS infrastructure, security, system design, and architecture.
  • Database administration and VPN management experience.
  • History of successful project leadership with measurable impact.
  • Ambitious mindset with diverse technical exposure and proactive problem-solving.
  • Side projects, community involvement, or demonstrated passion for engineering.

Compensation & Benefits
