Staff Backend Engineer
Job Summary

Essential Functions
- Design system architecture for agent infrastructure, balancing speed, reliability, and complexity as the platform scales
- Own ambiguous, high-stakes technical projects with direct business impact
- Develop technical strategy by identifying system gaps and building cases for proactive solutions
- Set standards for code review, system design, and operational excellence through personal contributions
- Collaborate across teams to deliver outcomes beyond individual scope
- Mentor engineers through hands-on project collaboration
Required Qualifications
- 7-15 years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering with Python and distributed systems
- Clear promotion trajectory, such as advancing multiple levels in 6-7 years
- Experience at high-growth SaaS startups or leading tech companies
- Proven ability to independently own and drive initiatives to completion without oversight
- Deep expertise in system design for scalable, reliable backend platforms
- Strong Python backend development skills using frameworks like Django or FastAPI
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at companies like Meta, Netflix, Stripe, Snap, or Uber
- Active use of AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude
- CS, Math, or Stats degree from a top global university

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range of $290,000 - $350,000 annually, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package available for direct hire position.
