Project Controls Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to support construction projects through the development, management, and analysis of CPM schedules. This role ensures projects are delivered on time and aligned with execution goals via proactive planning, monitoring, and communication. Full-time on-site presence is required.
Essential Functions
- Develop, maintain, and monitor construction CPM schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project documents and specifications to create accurate baseline schedules, including all required activities, milestones, and key dates.
- Perform regular schedule updates with detailed reporting and narrative analysis.
- Analyze project schedules and provide recommendations aligned with project execution strategies.
- Conduct critical path analysis, identify scheduling risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform site walks to validate progress and prepare monthly reporting packages for project teams.
- Evaluate contractor progress and present findings to management to support decision-making.
- Manage and report on project costs and resource allocations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting data center construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
- Experience with cost and resource management and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and managing construction schedules for data center projects.
- Familiarity with contract requirements related to planning and scheduling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
- Professional certifications such as PSP or PMI-SP.
- Experience identifying, assessing, and communicating schedule risks.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
