Senior Project Controls Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Controls Engineer with 5+ years of experience in CPM scheduling and project controls for vertical construction projects. The role involves developing and managing complex schedules for large-scale projects valued over $100M, conducting risk analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to optimize schedules in fast-paced environments.
Essential Functions
- Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed CPM schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create baseline schedules using construction documents, specifications, and project requirements.
- Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, and narrative reporting.
- Conduct critical path analysis to identify delays, risks, and opportunities; recommend corrective actions.
- Review contractor schedules and provide insights for management decisions.
- Collaborate with project managers, teams, and stakeholders to align schedules with execution goals.
- Conduct site visits to validate progress and schedule accuracy.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages with KPIs, metrics, and performance benchmarks.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CPM scheduling and project controls in vertical construction.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects exceeding $100M.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
- Proficiency in schedule optimization, risk analysis, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel to regional project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cost and resource management aligned with budgets and timelines.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and mitigating schedule risks.
- Proven track record in preparing and presenting project status reports.
