Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Join a high-growth, venture-backed startup as a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead critical implementations for government clients. You will bridge the gap between complex AI technology and practical application, working directly with senior leaders to build AI-powered training programs and knowledge graphs.
Essential Functions
- Act as the primary implementation lead for government clients, managing the integration of documents and recordings into knowledge graphs.
- Manage system prompts and service orchestration within secure, government-compliant cloud environments.
- Develop front-end UI tweaks, backend tables, and file management features using Next.js, Python, and Java.
- Lead client calls to explain complex AI concepts in plain language to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure system scalability and data privacy.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align product roadmap with client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience as a customer-facing Software Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a government background check.
- Experience working in secure, regulated environments (such as IL5, FedRAMP, or HIPAA).
- Proven ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Strong focus on security, infrastructure, and data privacy.
- Experience in a fast-paced, 0-to-1 startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying LLM or agent systems in production.
- Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Experience with graph databases like Neo4j.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $130,000 - $170,000 per year.
