Deployed Software Engineer
Job Summary
Join a high-growth robotics team as a Deployed Software Engineer to bridge the gap between shop-floor models and real-world heavy machinery. You will take ownership of the data and autonomy infrastructure required to power autonomous operations in demanding environments like mines and construction sites.
Essential Functions
- Maintain a fleet of over 150 machine deployments by debugging nodes and analyzing logs
- Develop reliable data infrastructure for frame capture, cloud upload, and training pipelines
- Manage internal and external labeling teams while conducting evaluations on new robot models
- Develop robotics software to control autonomous machines and integrate data into customer portals
- Collaborate with on-site deployment staff to resolve field issues and maintain system health
- Travel to customer sites up to twice a month to deploy hardware and build autonomy solutions
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 10 years of experience as a Deployed Software Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer
- Proven experience in field robotics, autonomous systems, or heavy machinery
- Experience shipping software into safety-critical or field environments
- Experience with embedded protocols and fluency in embedded targets
- Experience with vehicle networking or industrial equipment
- Experience in early-stage startups or robotics-focused companies

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $190,000 - $250,000 per year
