Founding Forward-Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
As a Founding Forward-Deployed Engineer, you will be a critical early hire helping to bring wearable AI co-pilots to technicians at major data center and energy grid companies. You will bridge the gap between complex industrial field knowledge and advanced AI systems, working directly with enterprise customers to turn messy, undocumented processes into functional AI solutions.
Essential Functions
- Embed with field technicians to identify process gaps and structure knowledge for AI integration
- Build rapid integrations and RAG pipelines into enterprise systems like ServiceNow, SAP, and Salesforce
- Design custom AI evaluations for specific verticals using real-world data to improve model performance
- Manage the full customer lifecycle from late-stage demos through onboarding and site-wide rollout
- Translate ambiguous field requirements into actionable product specifications for the engineering team
- Lead change management and advocate for feature requests within large legacy enterprises
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years of experience as a forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineer
- Proven experience deploying software for industrial, energy, or defense clients
- Hands-on experience building integrations and data pipelines (APIs, webhooks, or ETL)
- Demonstrated experience integrating LLMs and RAG into customer workflows
- Ability to convert pilots or proofs of concept into paid enterprise deployments
- Technical proficiency in building and shipping agentic or RAG AI features
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment

- Experience with industrial sector clients

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $160,000 - $245,000 per year
