Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Join a high-growth, Series B startup as a Forward Deployed Engineer to build and deploy AI agents directly within major healthcare systems. You will serve as the critical link between clinical stakeholders and a production AI platform, translating complex medical workflows into scalable technology solutions.
Essential Functions
- Meet directly with physicians, hospital IT, and clinical champions to identify workflows and pain points
- Scope and translate loosely defined clinical ideas into production-ready AI agents
- Build and deploy agents end-to-end, including rigorous evaluations to ensure performance
- Iterate on deployed agents based on clinical guidelines and operational feedback
- Own the full lifecycle from identifying a technical issue to deploying a fix in a matter of days
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 6 years of experience in a full-stack or forward-deployed engineering role
- Proven experience with Python, Rust, Kubernetes, and AWS
- Strong proficiency in backend development with Python and frontend experience with React/TypeScript
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders to scope projects
- A track record of high achievement, such as experience at a high-growth startup or a top-tier academic institution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare or health-tech industry
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles
- Experience with infrastructure tooling like Helm

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 - $300,000 per year
