Founding Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Join a high-growth organization as a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to build and scale an Applied AI business from the ground up. In this zero-to-one role, you will have direct access to the executive leadership team and significant ownership over the technical roadmap for mission-critical vertical SaaS solutions.
Essential Functions
- Conduct discovery and translate complex business problems into actionable product specifications
- Build AI workflows and custom solutions from scratch for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Own the full deployment lifecycle from initial build through customer adoption and maintenance
- Develop shared ontologies and common data models to create productized solutions
- Collaborate directly with the executive team to define and execute the company's AI strategy
- Help scale the Forward Deployed Engineering team and establish foundational processes
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of experience in forward deployed engineering or technical customer-facing roles
- Proven track record of leading full technical deployments from 0 to 1 for enterprise B2B clients
- Experience building and deploying AI and software solutions
- Technical polyglot capability across full-stack, system architecture, and data pipelines
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to be on-site at customer locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at top-tier forward deployed engineering firms
- Previous experience as a founder or within a venture-backed startup
- Experience in the vertical SaaS space

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 per year.
