Founding Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of high-level engineering and direct customer engagement. You will be responsible for embedding AI agents into the procurement and supply chain operations of Fortune 500 manufacturers, building the deployment motion from the ground up as a core member of the founding team.
Essential Functions
- Manage day-to-day relationships with manufacturing customers to identify and scope new workflows
- Build and ship production-grade code within customer environments to meet specific operational needs
- Lead deployments from initial discovery through go-live, owning outcomes like inventory and sourcing efficiency
- Travel to manufacturer facilities to work alongside operators and build trust with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with the platform engineering team to relay field insights for product improvement
- Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear technical specifications
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 5 years of experience in a customer-focused engineering or forward-deployed role
- Proven ability to work with manufacturers to scope and implement new technical deployments
- Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience in enterprise environments
- Experience in a growth-stage startup environment
- Ability to work in-person in San Francisco 5 days per week
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 15-30% of the time

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $175,000 - $225,000 per year.
