Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)
Job Summary
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical owner for a portfolio of high-priority accounts in the robotics and frontier AI space. This is a founding role where you will bridge the gap between complex engineering and customer success, ensuring that data delivery directly enhances model performance for industry-leading organizations.
Essential Functions
- Own end-to-end data delivery for strategic customers, including pipeline management and QA
- Act as the first technical responder to triage and resolve customer issues independently
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for sophisticated clients
- Identify recurring pain points to develop product improvements and reusable playbooks
- Lead platform integration engagements and model fine-tuning services for enterprise clients
- Manage project timelines and expectations while proactively clearing technical blockers
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a customer-facing Software Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems in high-ambiguity environments
- Strong production coding skills, specifically with Python
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build trust with technical stakeholders
- Experience in a founding role or at a high-growth, high-demand technical company
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple high-stakes accounts simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the robotics or embodied AI sectors
- Background in high-scale data infrastructure or cloud data platforms
- Experience working with large-scale data pipelines

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $230,000 - $310,000 per year
