Full-Stack Product Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Full-Stack Product Engineer with a backend focus to help build the next generation of human risk management solutions for enterprise cybersecurity. In this hybrid role based in San Francisco, you will own customer-facing features end-to-end, turning complex behavioral data into intuitive products that reduce security risks. With significant product ownership and direct customer exposure, you will design systems, build experiences, and drive measurable impact in a fast-paced startup environment.
Essential Functions
- Design and build backend systems and data models that power the product
- Own customer-facing features from concept through production deployment
- Build and evolve APIs while maintaining backwards compatibility
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access patterns
- Develop frontend experiences using React or Next.js as needed
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate customer problems into intuitive solutions
- Engage directly with early customers to gather feedback and iterate rapidly
- Participate in code reviews, mentor teammates, and help shape engineering standards
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-time software engineering experience (target range 3-6 years)
- Computer Science degree or equivalent technical background
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals with professional experience in Python and Django
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL including schema design and query optimization
- Proven track record designing and building APIs
- Experience building frontend interfaces with React or Next.js
- Demonstrated history of owning products or features end-to-end with measurable customer impact
- Strong product intuition and ability to understand customer needs beyond technical requirements

- Background at product-driven technology companies or early-stage startups with traction
- Experience in cybersecurity or security awareness platforms
- Familiarity working in fast-moving environments with high ownership
- Track record of making effective tradeoffs between speed, quality, and maintainability

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range of $175,000 to $250,000 plus competitive equity. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and are open to visa transfers including OPT, H-1B, TN, and most other visa types.
