Senior Software Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join a high-impact engineering team. You will build and scale AI-powered voice agents that manage millions of calls each month for major enterprises. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple product teams, delivering full-stack features for an LLM-based conversational AI platform in a fast-paced startup environment.
Essential Functions
- Build and ship full-stack product features that support and enhance LLM-powered voice and chat products
- Work across product teams to deliver capabilities that help win deals and scale the platform, including forward-deployed engineering
- Integrate speech recognition, text-to-speech, and conversational AI model improvements into production systems
- Optimize and debug production systems while balancing latency, cost, and user experience at enterprise scale
- Collaborate closely with product and machine learning teams in a dynamic startup setting
- Own multiple initiatives and deliver high-impact solutions quickly
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in either Python or TypeScript (one is a hard requirement)
- Hands-on experience working with large language models, including multi-turn agents, prompt engineering, or tools such as LangChain
- Full-stack engineering experience shipping solutions at scale in a startup or high-growth environment
- 5-8 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
- Strong startup mentality with the ability to think creatively and operate as a self-starter
- Based in the United States or Canada (visa transfers possible for exceptional candidates)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with production AI systems handling high-volume conversational traffic
- Background in optimizing latency and cost for enterprise-scale deployments
- Prior work integrating speech recognition or text-to-speech technologies
- Experience in forward-deployed engineering roles supporting customer-facing solutions

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range of $130,000 to $190,000 USD depending on experience level and location, plus competitive equity. Benefits include 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible vacation policy, tech and learning stipend, and paid sabbatical after 5 years.
