Forward Deployed Analytics Engineer
Job Summary
This forward deployed analytics engineering role sits at the core of an agentic AI platform for healthcare finance. You will bridge customer financial and clinical data with advanced AI systems by reverse engineering complex business rules and building durable transformations that feed a unified ontology and semantic layer.
The work you do becomes the single source of truth the entire platform depends on, directly impacting trust in AI outputs for claims, reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes.
Essential Functions
- Review and analyze customer data models, collaborating directly with finance and clinical teams to capture source of truth business logic
- Codify complex, under documented payer contract terms and chart of accounts rules into durable, tested data transformations
- Build and maintain SQL based mappings that integrate raw customer data into the platform's unified ontology and semantic layer
- Own end to end correctness through rigorous testing, validation, and quality assurance on all delivered work
- Collaborate with insights and product engineering teams to evolve the ontology as new customer requirements and data sources emerge
- Support forward deployed activities including occasional on site customer engagements to ensure accurate data representation
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering roles
- Hands on experience with healthcare data in areas such as claims, reimbursement, revenue cycle, or health system finance
- Proven ability to independently design, build, and ship data pipelines from greenfield rather than only maintaining existing ones
- Strong expertise authoring transformation logic in SQL or similar tools that encode complex business rules into analytics ready outputs
- Customer or stakeholder facing technical experience in forward deployed, integration, or solutions engineering capacities
- Experience working in fast paced healthcare environments including health tech startups, health systems, or healthcare consulting

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range is $150,000 to $200,000 base depending on experience and qualifications. This is a hybrid role based in New York City with up to 10 percent travel.
