Inside Sales & Project Manager
Job Summary
This Inside Sales and Project Manager role serves as the primary customer contact from initial inquiry through product shipment. The position combines technical sales, quotation development, and project coordination to deliver custom manufacturing solutions while aligning customer needs with production capabilities.
You will manage the full project lifecycle, review technical specifications, coordinate across engineering and operations teams, and build lasting customer relationships in a growing manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries and proactively follow up on quotations and project opportunities
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate product solutions and design features
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on specifications and company standards
- Manage projects from quotation through shipment while maintaining clear customer communication
- Serve as primary liaison between customers and internal teams including Engineering, Operations, and Purchasing
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate order details
- Coordinate freight quotes, logistics, and material requirements for on-time delivery
- Monitor project status, resolve issues impacting schedule or cost, and document all changes
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in inside sales, project management, customer service, or manufacturing
- Proven experience selling physical products rather than services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP or CRM systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and engineering specifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication for customer and internal team interactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge or background in construction, engineering, or industrial equipment
- Experience in custom manufacturing or technical product environments
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 plus commission with on-target earnings of approximately $100,000 annually. Role is primarily office-based with up to 10 percent travel.
