Denver, CO Direct Hire Manufacturing $76,200 - $114,200

Job Summary

This Buyer role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, electronics, and custom components to support manufacturing operations. The position focuses on maintaining strong supplier relationships, optimizing costs and inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials to prevent production disruptions. It plays a key part in driving supply chain efficiency within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Essential Functions

  • Execute purchase orders for direct and indirect materials based on demand, forecast, and replenishment signals
  • Select, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships, including maintaining an approved supplier list and conducting performance reviews
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost savings and improve ROI
  • Monitor open purchase orders, expedite critical materials, and proactively resolve potential shortages
  • Maintain accurate data in the MRP system including lead times, pricing, MOQ, and planning parameters
  • Collaborate with production, planning, engineering, quality, and accounts payable teams to align on schedules and resolve issues
  • Support engineering change orders, compliance requirements, and import documentation
  • Track key supply chain metrics and participate in continuous improvement initiatives including lean and Kaizen events

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 plus years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency with MRP systems and inventory management tools
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and Bills of Materials
  • Demonstrated negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in metal stamping or forming manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with JDE or similar ERP platforms
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $76,200 to $114,200, depending on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health coverage, 401(k) retirement savings with company match, PTO, and additional programs.
