Founding Principal Full Stack Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Founding Principal Full Stack Engineer to join as one of the earliest engineers at an early-stage startup building the operating system for psychotherapy practices. This role offers the opportunity to own major product verticals end-to-end, from practice analytics and AI-powered insights to EHR integrations, while working directly with co-founders to establish both the product and engineering culture.
You will drive high-impact development in a fast-paced environment, leveraging advanced AI tools to accelerate delivery and shape the future of mental health practice management.
Essential Functions
- Own entire product verticals end-to-end, including roadmap, architecture, execution, and production operations
- Build AI-powered analytics and tooling to enable practice operators to support multiple locations efficiently
- Manage parallel AI coding agent sessions to significantly increase development velocity
- Architect and deploy full-stack features using Python and React on AWS infrastructure
- Make autonomous product decisions by identifying opportunities and shipping solutions without detailed specifications
- Integrate AI capabilities into production features to deliver advanced insights and automation
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of full-stack engineering experience with demonstrated product ownership
- Proven track record of building and shipping products end-to-end from zero to one
- Experience at a high-growth startup or top-tier technology company
- Sophisticated experience with agentic AI workflows, including deep integration of tools like Claude Code with parallel sessions and custom tooling
- Full-stack fluency across frontend and backend technologies with experience building from scratch
- High agency and ownership mindset, comfortable operating in early-stage environments with minimal guidance
- Experience building product-facing analytics features and managing cloud infrastructure
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City with in-person collaboration expected

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range of $200,000 to $320,000, plus meaningful equity participation as an early team member. Total compensation will reflect experience and impact.
