Electrical Engineer, Hardware Design
Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with hands-on hardware experience to help design and scale the next generation of solar-powered highway camera systems. This role owns full-lifecycle PCB development from concept through field deployment, focusing on making hardware more robust, reliable, and manufacturable as we expand nationwide. It is ideal for a methodical engineer who enjoys solving open-ended problems, debugging in the lab, and seeing designs perform in real-world conditions.
Essential Functions
- Design, iterate, and test PCBs and circuits using Altium, owning the full lifecycle from schematic capture through manufacturing and field deployment
- Work in the electronics lab with oscilloscopes, power supplies, and test equipment to debug and validate hardware
- Improve hardware robustness and reliability for nationwide scaling of solar-powered camera systems under tight power budgets
- Write embedded C/C++ or Python code to test, bring up, and validate hardware designs
- Collaborate across embedded systems, operations, and software teams
- Travel quarterly for field installations, calibration, and real-world testing
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in hardware electrical engineering
- End-to-end PCB design experience using Altium or similar CAD tools
- Hands-on experience building, testing, and iterating physical hardware in real-world conditions
- Ability to work on-site in Denver 4-5 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with solar or battery-powered systems
- Background in field deployments or scaling hardware across multiple locations
- Familiarity working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 depending on experience, plus full benefits package.
