Founding Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Founding Engineer to help scale our core platform and AI agent capabilities. This role is central to expanding our product offerings for both existing and new customers in the clinical trial recruitment space.
You will work on high-impact projects involving orchestration of AI agents, multi-channel LLM scaling, system integrations, and workflow optimization in a fast-paced startup setting.
Essential Functions
- Orchestrate a fleet of AI agents coordinating patient recruitment across hundreds of clinical trials
- Build and maintain integrations into customer systems, including custom work for specific software versions and configurations
- Scale large language models across voice, SMS, and email channels while maintaining conversation consistency and personalization
- Tune AI agent conversation flows and develop specialized workflows for calculations such as BMI from height and weight
- Design and implement solutions for call center management and optimal scheduling algorithms for recruiters and clinical research coordinators
- Reverse engineer legacy healthcare systems lacking public APIs to enable seamless integration with trial site tools
Required Qualifications
- 1.5 or more years of professional software engineering experience building products
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity startup environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical engineering solutions
- Willingness to tackle complex technical challenges with limited documentation or structure

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range is $170,000 to $250,000 base, plus meaningful equity. Total compensation will be discussed during the interview process and is based on experience, skills, and location.
