Senior Supervisor, Product Quality
Job Summary
The Senior Supervisor, Product Quality serves as the primary technical authority for build excellence in a high-stakes infrastructure manufacturing facility. This role owns the full quality lifecycle from raw material receipt through final shipment, with primary focus on modular data center products and secondary oversight of power distribution centers and other building products. The position balances technical leadership with people management to ensure complex integrated systems meet rigorous internal and industry standards.
Essential Functions
- Define and execute a supplier quality vision and long-term strategy aligned with organizational goals and risk mitigation
- Direct and mentor Receiving and Production QC inspection teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring consistent application of inspection standards across all shifts
- Manage and evolve the facility Quality Management System, implementing robust incoming material reviews, CAPA processes, and traceability protocols
- Serve as the technical authority for compliance with ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements including UL 891 and UL 9540; manage the facility Calibration Program for all specialized testing equipment and tooling
- Partner with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to ensure all building products meet technical specifications during volume ramps and resolve systemic process breakdowns or design-to-build conflicts
- Define and track key KPIs for product quality including defect rates and non-conformance rates, presenting data-driven insights and risk assessments to senior leadership
- Lead Non-Conformance activities and provide technical training to employees on process improvement and quality matters
- Conduct quality assessments for critical build phases and develop contingency strategies for quality-related disruptions to delivery schedules
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in product quality within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience training and developing junior team members, ideally managing team performance and development
- Advanced understanding of build quality best practices, structural and electrical inspection techniques, and the ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and schematics
- Proven experience developing and implementing Quality Management Systems, performance dashboards, and quality improvement roadmaps
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment between production and engineering functions
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, manage conflict on the shop floor, and make data-driven decisions or approve final product shipment
- This position is designated safety-sensitive; drug and alcohol program participation is required and candidates must be able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Quality Manager or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
- Expertise in ISO 9001, UL 891, and Lean Six Sigma tools
- Direct experience developing and administering a full Quality Management System, especially within modular building or data center infrastructure industries
