Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Lead and grow an engineering team at a fast-growing AI infrastructure company. Partner with the CTO to set technical direction, ship core products that power an audio data research platform, and build scalable systems handling terabytes of data daily.
Essential Functions
- Hire, structure, and mentor the engineering team while maintaining high performance standards
- Scope and ship new products enabling researchers to work with high-quality audio data
- Build scalable data processing pipelines that extract insights from terabytes of audio data daily
- Architect systems to expand capacity for collecting, curating, and delivering data
- Partner with the CTO to drive technical direction and execute the product roadmap
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of product-focused engineering experience with strong web development fundamentals
- Experience leading technical teams through rapid growth at high-growth startups or scale-ups
- Track record of shipping products from zero-to-one and scaling them in fast-paced environments
- Comfort solving ambiguous, unsolved problems with tangible customer impact
- Hands-on experience with backend technologies, ideally TypeScript and Python
- Low ego team player with strong communication skills and comfort with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of engineering management experience
- Former founder or early employee at a startup
- Mix of startup and big tech exposure
- Familiarity with AI/ML or audio/speech processing

Compensation & Benefits
$250,000 to $300,000 salary range
