Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Forward Deployed Engineer role focused on deploying robotics software into real-world customer environments. This position bridges software development and physical systems deployment, working directly with end users to ensure systems perform reliably outside controlled lab settings.
Essential Functions
- Partner with customers to understand operational workflows and requirements
- Deploy robotics software systems in production environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during real-world deployment
- Translate field constraints and feedback into product improvements
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system reliability enhancements
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of full-stack software engineering experience with backend focus
- Experience deploying technical systems in real-world environments
- Strong Python development skills
- Willingness to work on-site 5 days per week in San Francisco
Preferred Qualifications
- Robotics engineering or FDE experience
- Experience working directly with customers on technical solutions

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $160,000 to $200,000 annually
