AI/ML Engineer
Job Summary
Design and deploy advanced LLM models to automate complex processes in healthcare, government, and energy sectors. Build scalable data pipelines, optimize models for production performance, and monitor deployed systems that serve government clients worldwide. Work directly with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders to turn research breakthroughs into practical AI solutions.
Essential Functions
- Design and deploy LLM models for real-world automation challenges
- Build scalable data pipelines and optimize models for production
- Monitor and maintain deployed models across government clients
- Collaborate with government officials and technical teams on AI solutions
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
- Stay current with ML and AI developments
Required Qualifications
- 3-10 years of applied AI/ML engineering experience building production applications
- Strong Python coding fundamentals and debugging skills
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and AI agents in production
- Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
- Demonstrated business or product impact from ML work
- Past customer-facing or cross-functional communication experience
- Interest in fast-paced startup environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a reputable startup or top tech company
- Co-founder or founding engineer experience
- Top CS program education
- Experience with ML evaluation frameworks
