Senior Full Stack Engineer (Team Lead)

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Ship complete features across the stack, including schema migrations, backend services, and frontend components in a TypeScript monorepo
• Lead the migration from a legacy no-code platform to a hand-crafted TypeScript architecture, establishing patterns for future engineers
• Mentor and guide a team of 3-5 engineers through code review, architectural decisions, and pair programming while maintaining significant individual contributor responsibilities
• Establish AI-assisted development workflows using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot as standard practice
• Integrate with third-party systems including property management platforms, smart locks, payment processors, and telemetry pipelines
• Build for a multi-region product with data residency requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of production TypeScript experience
• 2+ years leading engineers in a player-coach capacity
• Experience building and shipping production B2B SaaS applications end-to-end
• Strong skills with relational databases including schema design, migrations, and query optimization
• Demonstrated experience with AI coding agents and multi-agent workflows in daily development
• Experience with system migrations or rebuild projects
• Backend-leaning full stack capabilities with infrastructure, API, and React frontend experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience scaling engineering teams at seed or Series A startups
• Domain experience in vertical SaaS, hospitality, or proptech
• Experience with monorepo architecture and end-to-end type safety
• Familiarity with IoT telemetry, event pipelines, or offline-first mobile development
