Job Summary

Electrical Engineer role supporting an early-stage robotics company building autonomous systems for industrial use. The position involves owning the electrical layer between mechanical hardware and software, with responsibility for PCB design through deployment across a range of project scales.

Essential Functions

  • Design and bring up PCBAs from small adapter boards to complex multi-layer motherboards integrating compute modules
  • Own power systems, battery management, motor drive integration, and robot wiring architectures from schematic through deployment
  • Complete high-mix, fast-turnaround electrical tasks to support ML data collection and teleoperation systems
  • Debug electrical issues including signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal, and connector problems on the bench and in the field
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and ML teams to convert new sensing and actuation requirements into functional electronics

Required Qualifications

  • 0-8+ years of electrical engineering experience designing PCBAs, power systems, and robot electronics
  • Experience taking electronics from schematic through prototype to manufactured, deployed product
  • Proficiency with complex multi-layer board layouts (10+ layer) and bring-up at scale
  • PCB design experience with schematic capture and layout in Altium, KiCad, or similar tools
  • Experience with power electronics, motor drive integration, and signal integrity
  • Familiarity with industrial communication buses including EtherCAT, CAN, and RS-485, plus EMC/EMI debug experience
  • Demonstrated maker mindset with personal electronics projects and portfolio examples

Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior-level experience at established hardware companies
  • High-ownership experience in early-stage hardware startup environments
  • Strong electrical engineering degree for senior candidates

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $200,000 to $350,000.
