Essential Functions
- Design and bring up PCBAs from small adapter boards to complex multi-layer motherboards integrating compute modules
- Own power systems, battery management, motor drive integration, and robot wiring architectures from schematic through deployment
- Complete high-mix, fast-turnaround electrical tasks to support ML data collection and teleoperation systems
- Debug electrical issues including signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal, and connector problems on the bench and in the field
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and ML teams to convert new sensing and actuation requirements into functional electronics
Required Qualifications
- 0-8+ years of electrical engineering experience designing PCBAs, power systems, and robot electronics
- Experience taking electronics from schematic through prototype to manufactured, deployed product
- Proficiency with complex multi-layer board layouts (10+ layer) and bring-up at scale
- PCB design experience with schematic capture and layout in Altium, KiCad, or similar tools
- Experience with power electronics, motor drive integration, and signal integrity
- Familiarity with industrial communication buses including EtherCAT, CAN, and RS-485, plus EMC/EMI debug experience
- Demonstrated maker mindset with personal electronics projects and portfolio examples
Preferred Qualifications
- Senior-level experience at established hardware companies
- High-ownership experience in early-stage hardware startup environments
- Strong electrical engineering degree for senior candidates
