Job Summary

Lead a product engineering team building core platform capabilities for an AI-powered revenue management solution used by high-growth companies. Focus 80% on people leadership, strategy, and delivery execution, with 20% hands-on technical work in a fast-paced startup environment. Partner closely with Product and Design to ship impactful software while building high-performing teams.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth
  • Own delivery planning and execution for your team, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes
  • Partner with Product and Design to define scope, timelines, and technical approach
  • Guide architectural and technical decisions while maintaining a high quality bar
  • Improve engineering processes, tooling, and team health over time
  • Hire and onboard new engineers as the team scales

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years managing engineers of varying seniorities
  • Currently or recently in an Engineering Manager role actively managing engineers, ideally a team of 10+
  • Experience at Series A-Series D startups
  • Has managed teams of mixed seniority (mid-level through staff/tech lead), ideally 8-15 engineers
  • Startup experience and familiarity with B2B environments
  • Strong system design fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in B2B SaaS product engineering, ideally in fintech, billing, payments, or revenue/accounting workflows
  • Familiarity or high level of interest with AI/LLM tooling and modern dev workflows
  • Direct communicator who can effectively manage and inspire diverse teams
  • Obsessed with learning and able to upskill their teams
  • Experience overseeing teams of 10+ engineers

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary in the range of $200,000 - $250,000, based on experience.
