Essential Functions

  • Live troubleshoot autonomous robots operating 24/7, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues when robots stop mid-cycle or components fail
  • Maintain 100% robot uptime in the development lab by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling electromechanical systems using diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve robot reliability and performance using real-world operational data
  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical analysis, check logs, power cycle systems, and execute Linux command-line diagnostics to identify root causes
  • Optionally support field deployments at customer data center sites to maintain and troubleshoot robots on location
  • Create feedback loops with the engineering team on issues encountered during operations

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of electromechanical experience as a technician troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems in robotics, automotive, AV, drones, industrial automation, or data centers
  • Experience maintaining equipment in 24/7 production or deployment environments
  • Electrical debugging skills using multimeters, schematics, and DC circuit troubleshooting
  • Basic Linux/CLI proficiency including SSH, logs, and running commands
  • Systematic debugger who can isolate problems independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at robotics, AV, or defense manufacturing companies
  • Familiarity with CAN bus, ROS, or industrial protocols
  • Willingness to travel to data center deployments
  • Backgrounds in automotive, warehouses, or data centers
  • Interest in long-term technician career path, not transitioning to engineering
